MESC18 - Visit to Synchrotron ALBA

Some students from class 18 spending their 3rd semester in Bilbao had the opportunity to visit the Synchrotron ALBA, 2 weeks ago.

                                                                                                                                                    

 

The Synchrotron ALBA is a 3rd generation Synchrotron Light facility located in Cerdanyola del Vallès, Barcelona in Spain. 

It is a complex of electron accelerators to produce synchrotron light, which allows the visualization of the atomic structure of matter as well as the study of its properties.

The students took a guided tour of the facilities. They were accomapnied by Dr. Montse Casas Cabanas from CIC EnergiGUNE and Miguel Ceja from MESC+ class 17 starting is PhD under Dr. Casas Cabanas supervision.
